Demotix and Corbis at Perpignan's Visa Pour l'Image

Perpignan's Visa Pour L'Image is the largest annual photojournalism festival in the world.

Every year, thousands of photojournalists, picture editors, agents and spectators descend on the beautiful old city of Perpignan to share stories, build networks, and do business.

For Demotix, this was our 3rd attendance, and a very important one following the Corbis investment in Demotix.

Gary Shenk - the CEO of Corbis - held a press conference to explain how Demotix (as well as Splash News and the AP) will be working with Corbis to plunge even deeper into the global editorial market. "It is our vision to be the world's most comprehensive source of content," he said, adding that "Demotix, with its ground-breaking business model... provides breadth and depth Corbis couldn't do alone."
