OpenDemocracy and Demotix: a love match

Demotix and OpenDemocracy - the Open-Source, pro-Democracy news analysis website founded in 2001 by Anthony Barnett and now run by Tony Curzon Price - have just agreed to partner. OpenDemocracy will carry the Demotix Widget and run dynamic images from Demotix with their stories.

Tony Curzon Price said: "We're rebuilding the media, piece by piece ... Demotix' citizen journalist collective and openDemocracy's open-source analysis and commentary will bring new media and new models into a mixture of text and picture that is not just a replacement, but better than what came before."
For us at Demotix, this partnership with OpenDemocracy feels like perfect synergy.
On the one hand, oD's razor-sharp, individual textual analysis, and on the other, Demotix' collective, collaborative visual representation of the world. Opposites attract.
