Scheduled maintenance - NO UPLOAD

29 May, 5:00 - 10:00 BST (GMT+1)

Our tech team has been working more hours than are healthy to bring 7 new servers online to power demotix.com! That work is now complete and we are about to smash the champagne over the lot of them... but to do this we need to do some “scheduled maintenance”.

We plan to do this tomorrow, starting at 5am and finishing at around 10am (all time UK, BST).

During this time, you won’t be able to login, upload or buy images direct from the website.

ALL APOLOGIES... but when you return to Demotix, you’ll be sailing on the fastest ship we’ve ever built... ;)

Many thanks

Alex, Nuno, Nyk, Andu and Joao - the Demotix tech team.

The following tips are based on commonly accepted editorial values adopted by most mainstream media.

Visual journalists operate as trustees of the public. Our primary role is to report visually on the significant events and varied viewpoints in our common world. Our primary goal is the faithful and comprehensive depiction of the subject at hand. As visual journalists, we have the responsibility to document society and to preserve its history through images.

On our Editorial ethics for photojournalists page we have put together a list commonly accepted editorial values adopted by most mainstream media.
