You can now email your images to Demotix, from your computer or mobile phone.

SETTING YOUR UPLOAD CODE

To upload by email you need to generate an Upload Code. You can’t use your regular password because email transfers your details unencrypted. You can choose your Upload Code and you don't have to change it for each upload.

To set your Upload Code, go to your Account Settings, add your Code and press save.

ATTACH YOUR IMAGES

Add your photos as attachments to the email. Please don't put your images inside zip files or compressed folders.

We don't read the subject or email so you can leave them blank.

SEND YOUR EMAIL

Send your email to:

[username]-[upload code]@upload.demotix.com

E.g. if your username was joebloggs and your upload code was abc123 you should email:

joebloggs-abc123@upload.demotix.com.

Add this address to your Address Book and your mobile phone so you can email quickly in the future. If your email sends successfully, that's it! In a few minutes, these images will be in your Existing Images. You will receive an email if there has been a problem - please be patient as the images may take a while to process.

NOTE: Your images will not be seen by Demotix unless you add them to a story via demotix.com. If your images are extremely important, please also send details and your username to info@demotix.com.

FAQs

Where do my stories go?

Once your upload is complete, your images are safely in the Demotix system. We now need to process them and transfer them to your Existing Images - this will take upto five minutes.

You Existing Images is your personal image folder. You can manage your Existing Images via your Account Settings. To add the images to a story ready for publication, click the Existing Images button on the Upload Story page.

If you are uploading a large number of files, we may need to process your images in batches - each batch will come through at five minute intervals.

My images did not appear and I did not receive an email

Are you using the correct details? Please note the server address has changed - it is now upload.demotix.com (not uploads.demotix.com). Please check your username and upload code - do not use your Demotix.com password.
