Eid Ul-Adha or the the ‘celebration of sacrifice' is marked across the Islamic world from November 29. The festival commemorates the story of Abraham showing his devotion to God by sacrificing his son. Muslims around the world slaughter a lamb (sheep, goats and cows are acceptable), which replaced the body of Ishmail.
This is a terrific opportunity for a feature; if you know where the ritual is taking place please pass this information onto your fellow contributors.
