Hey all London 'togs,

Was thinking of doing a new shoot with one of you, or a few of you at the weekend - or planned weekend day.

Hopefully we can learn something from each other if we do this. Let me know what you think?

Thanks
Stephen

That's not fair Stephen!
Why don't you come out here (Jerusalem)?!

I don't know whether this is open to anyone but I would have loved to, however I am already shooting a dog show all weekend down in Kent. Are you thinking of making this a regular thing?

Possibly, if there is any interest. I need to be shooting more - it helps me. I have a press pass now (over 10 stories on Demotix, and paid for one) - but I guess it would be a good opportunity to get involved with the community and pass down info from the industry. At the same time I'm sure I can learn more.

@Nir - Oh how I would, when I have pennies I will for sure.

Jeruslem is out.... Isreal is not very good with the Press..... We had a Demotix reporter shot by the IDF.

You may have had a Demotix reporter among hundreds from Gaza storming the border crossing (Erez) under Israeli sovereignty. You may have had a Demotix reporter among rioters on Gaza soil, governed by Hammas and Palestinian Authority since Israel totally and unilaterally pulled out in 2005. You may have had the IDF protecting a border crossing into Israel as is its responsibility.

You definitely did not have a Demotix reporter shot anywhere in Israel, specifically not in Jerusalem.

Check it out Chris. Easy. Even here on Demotix: http://www.demotix.com/news/691501/palestinian-protesters-run-cover-after-israeli-soldiers-opened

Or take it from a journalist that works here. Israel is one of the safest places for journalists as long as you use commion sense and unbiased integrity while 'covering' events rather than 'participating' in them. Actually, it's so safe, that you can live through it to become CEO of a news wire named Demotix.

I forgot to mention above Yes I am up for London.

Stephen. why not email all the Demotix reporters between Manchester, Dover and Bristol. Not everyone reads the forum.

I am in Brum and London is only 2 hours away. (hour and a half by train) As Peter says above it is cheap and easy from Swindon/Bristol. So a meet up would be good.

If there are enough some workshops on captions, story writing, photographers rights (and responsibilities) etc
