Having been away from this site for a while i thought i would return and upload some images from yesterdays N30 strike events,so i uploaded,key worded and all went well but today looking at Demotix it seems my story does not exist. Its there on my dashboard but if i use the search function on the home page it fails to show up,like wise it does not appear on the list of events covered yesterday.
I don't know if this is a glitch in the system but to be honest if my images are not showing up to potential buyers then why should i continue to upload,as i said yesterday was a test to see how Demotix would work for me and at the moment im afraid the jury is still out.
Have you tested the search system since posting this John? Our tech guys took a look at it yesterday afternoon and it should now be fine. There was a temporary glitch where new stories weren't getting indexed.

Just tried it again but still no luck,have searched for Bristol N30 protest etc but it only shows another persons story from bristol that day. My story does not appear on the list of events taken at n30 events,keywords are correct etc so must still be a glitch in the system. Its a pity as one of the images has been sold today by another agency.
Argh, how frustrating! I honestly thought that this was fixed. I've prodded the tech team again, I'll let you know when they get back to me.

Just been checking again and its still not working,seems your system has a major problem which has to be honest put me off putting work on demotix again, why should i waste time uploading and key wording etc if no one will be able to see it here.
Stories that were uploaded while the search problem was going on will take a while to update in the indexing system.
I've just resaved your story and it now shows up when you search for "N30 Bristol".
I know that problems like this are frustrating, but you have to remember that we are attempting to do something quite complex on a massive scale with our tech resources.
There are going to be occasional glitches and bugs. All it takes is for you to report them for them to get fixed - please try to understand and be patient. We get annoyed by this stuff as much as you do - but we can't do anything about it if you give up and don't tell us!

I reported it to you on the 1st dec a day after uploading the images,Demotix covers breaking news and as you know speed is key to selling a story. Not to worry though as i have sold images from that set elsewhere so all was not lost and its good to see that the problem here has been sorted.
