This old lady is taking her grandson to hospital. The 6 year child is HIV positive and opportunistic illnesses have robbed him the joy of childhood. His adolescent mother died of the same condition barely a year ago after infecting the child. Kisumu, Kenya. 16/02/2010.

Despite governmental and non-governmental efforts to curb the spread of HIV and Aids in Kenya, their impact remains minimal especially in the rural areas. Many teenagers engage in casual sex, without taking into consideration the potential risks of transmission. As a result, HIV and Aids continue to detroy the lives of young people.
