The Argus Cycle Tour with 35000 participants is the largest individually timed cycling event in the world. The race is a 109km route across the Cape Peninsula taking in some of the most scenic drives in the world.

The Global Naked Bike Ride took place in Cape Town one day before the Argus Cycle Tour. More than 200 cyclists bared as much as they dared to raise awareness about reducing personal carbon footprints, and increased road safety awareness.
