Joel PARKINSON (AUS) (Yellow t-shirt while surfing, dark hair) confirmed his position of surfer number one in the ASP World tour winning the Bells Beach appointment with two amazing waves!
His second wave gave him a score of 7.83 and he crowned the final with his third wave, surfing a big wave, with some excellent turns for a score of 9.57.
His opponent in this final was the wildcard Adam ROBERTSON (AUS) (Blue t-shirt while surfing curly blonde hairs) who surfed his way from the trials qualification to the final, in fact he's not in the 45 best surfer of the ASP World Tour. He's the hero of the locals and had an incredible support in the beach with all his family around him! He surfed his best waves in 6.50 and 6.87.

The round 3 of the RIP CURL PRO 2009 BELLS BEACH. The second event of the world ASP Tournament (Word Surf Circuit) in the year 2009. This rounds have seen in the competition the 16 best man surfer in this competition, from Joel Parkinson, actual number one, the young Owen Wright, Adam Robertson and Jordy Smith

Photo 4, 5 (Blue t-shirt): Joel Parkinson (AUS), he's the actual number one after his victory at the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast Event. He won his heat with a score of 15.57p vs Kai Otton (AUS) 9.63p

The round 2 of the RIP CURL PRO 2009 BELLS BEACH. The second event of the world ASP Tournament (Word Surf Circuit) in the year 2009. This rounds have seen in the competition the best man surfer in the world, from Kelly Slater to the actual first in the world Joel Parkinson and the young Owen Wright.

Kelly Slater (37), in yellow t-shirt is the none time world champion; world champion in charge thanks his last title in 2008, at the age of 36. He’s the youngest surfer who ever won a world championship (he was 20), oldest one (the last year 36),only surfer to score a 'Perfect 20' heat total (Tahiti, 2005), most elite tour wins in pro surfing history (39): he’s a living legend and the winner of RIP CURL PRO BELLS BEACH 2008. Today was his first heat and he had to defend the title vs the young OWEN WRIGHT (19 years old), that show his ability scoring a 7.67 in his second wave of the day and a 6.83 in his forth one. Kelly had a 7.00 getting in a not so perfect little barrel in his second wave but wasn’t able to reach an higher score than 6.83 in his fourth wave.
