Contestants compete in the Sanur Beach Games in Bali. The vibrant atmosphere of the beach competition is enhanced by the colouful balloons and kites that fill the sky.

I read in a local newspaper that Beach Rugby 5's was going to be played at the annual Sanur Beach Games. The words 'beach' and Rugby' are two words which generally you would never find in the same sentence. I was intrigued, so I decided to visit the games. When I arrived I was amazed to see huge, colourful, photogenic kites/balloons, not sure what to call them. I took so many photos of them that I missed the start of the Rugby competition. Hope you enjoy a selection of photos I took on the day.
