As a part of Chinese New Year Festival, the inhabitants of the China Town in Terengganu, organise a competition for best decorated houses and shops. A Chinese girl performs a traditional dance while a group of children perform a lion dance. Terengganu, Kampung Cina, Malaysia. 12/02/2010. On the night of the Chinese New Year, they will be having a countdown at a temple nearby. Malaysia's Chinese will celebrate Chinese New Year on the 14th of February this year. In the Chinese Lunar Calendar, this coming year will be the Year of the Tiger.

Fishermen playing football at Batu Buruk Beach in Kuala Terengganu after having to abandon their plans to go fishing due to the high winds. Kuala terengganu, Malaysia. 08/12/2009. Fishermen playing football on the beach during the monsoon season, a normal scenario can be seen at Batu Buruk Beach, Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu. Most of them were the traditional or coastal fishermen who were unable going out to the sea from November to March every year. The strong northeasterly winds from South China seas of 40-50kmph blowing and the coastal areas would be exposed to waves of up to 3.5 metres. Since, not many among them are owners of modern and high-powered boats that allow fishing trips further away from the few nautical miles offshore. Fishing activities were stop at this moment.
