Saturday night in Walking street, Pattaya, some 2 hours south of Bangkok, and the woes and troubles of the economic downturn seem to have been momentarily forgotten as people are out to party. An eclectic mix of visitors from all over the world enjoying the exotic sights of a Thai town bathed in red and pink. Something for everyone and fried insects too, deftly thrown into the boiling hot fat, deep fried fresh and crispy. As one walks down this famous street, never does one experience anything other than friendliness, laughter, flashing white teeth and beautiful eyes. For this is what the Thai people are famous for, coupled with their ability to adapt and have fun. If it's not 'Sanook' (the Thai word for fun), then it's not worth doing! This is Saturday night afterall, and throughout the globe people just want to go out and enjoy themselves, putting aside for a moment their troubles and letting go.
