Dieses Wochenende fand das 7. GARTOWER DRACHENBOOTFESTIVAL auf dem Gartower See statt. Organisiert wurde das Festival von den 'Seeadlern' Elbtalaue-Wendland. Ehrenamtliche Helfer unterstützen regelmäßig diese Aktionen. Die Teilnehmer reisten mit ihren Familien an. Obwohl es zwischendurch immer wieder regnete war das Festival ein Spaß für alle Beteiligten. Sie kamen unter anderem aus Berlin, Hamburg, Magdeburg, Schwerin und Wolfsburg. Ihren Abschluss fand die Veranstaltung mit der Siegerehrung. Es wurden 3 Fun Pokale und 3 Sport Pokale verliehen. Den Pokal für den 1. Platz (Sport) erhielten die 'Wolfsdrachen' aus Wolfsburg.
