Fig and Date Fayre 2009 with the The Fabolous FezHeads. Held in the Wye valley village of Tintern at the Anchor Inn, The Fabulous FezHeads and Morris teams crowded into the village to have a day of games, dancing and of course Figs and Dates. The Fabulous FezHeads are the country's Premier Sand Dance Vaudevillian Illusionists, and along with a load of Morris sides including the Cheptow(near Tintern) based Widders performed for the crowds throughout the day and into the night. The FezHeads leading the days competitions with events such as spitting the date through the eye of the camel and eating the Chili Fig. The Morris sides competed for the coveted winner of the Fig and Date Fayre, and for the third year running Black Pig Border Morris won this tittle.
