Congressman Duncan D. Hunter and the East County Career Center organized a job fair that was attended by over three dozen companies and some 1500 job seekers to provide an opportunity for unemployed and underemployed individuals to meet face-to-face with employers. Many attendees had been out of work over a year, some had lost homes, and all felt the frustration of the high unemployment rate. El Cajon, USA. 19/02/2010. Congressman Duncan D. Hunter (CA-52) hosted a job fair in El Cajon, CA, that was attended by an estimated 1500 hopeful job seekers. Congressman Hunter's office worked with the East County Career Center and more than three dozen companies to provide an opportunity for unemployed and underemployed individuals to meet face-to-face with employers. Job candidates waited in a line that stretched from the community center past and around the nearby public library. Many spent more than an hour in line for the chance get in to speak with company representatives. Attendees presented a cross section of the unemployment situation in San Diego County, California, and the nation in general. Many had been out of work over a year, some had lost homes, and all felt the frustration of the high unemployment rate. Congressman Hunter promised to continue to host job fairs as long as the difficulties in the economy last.
