(June 20, 2009) Hortensia 'La Tencha' Bussi, widow of ex-President of Chile Salvador Allende, was buried on Saturday in the Cementerio General alongside her husband. Allende, Latin America's first democratically-elected Marxist president, shot himself in presidential palace La Moneda on Sept 11, 1973, when a CIA-backed coup d'état led by General Augusto Pinochet gained power.
