Armed police swoop on a stockton estate after reports a fire-arm threat. The Incident took place near to Stockton Rail station and several armed response units attended the scene. It was later found to be a male with a BB gun and he was cautioned.

Firefighters tackled a large blaze at Flipeprs Chipshop Hemlington after a frying range caught fire. Several fire appliances attended the scene and the fire took over 45 minutes to extinguish. Nearby shops were closed and evacuated.
