The Greek and Russian religious leaders jointly held on Sunday a Divine Liturgy in a packed Istanbul church during the Russian patriarch’s historic visit to Turkey.
Patriarch Kirill I of Moscow is on a three-day visit to Turkey to restore ties with the Greek Orthodox patriarchate and to give a message of unity, the Russian Orthodox Church said.
Greek and Russian Orthodox believers attended the liturgy at the St. George Church in Istanbul’s Fener district.
