World Clock designer Erich John celebrates 80th birthday

On February 6th, 2012, industrial designer Erich John, who is the designer of the popular World Clock in Alexanderplatz celebrates his 80th birthday.
The World Clock is a part of the socialist redesign of the entire Alexanderplatz in 1969, and became and continues to be, the popular meeting place for local Berliners, as well as tourists.
