Winter made its presence felt this weekend as a heavy snow and bitter cold temperatures descended upon a large swathe of Central Europe.

Many parts of Hungary could receive more than a half-meter of snow by Sunday. Temperatures are expected to go down to as low as minus -25 Celsius, with winds as high as 70 km/h in some places.
