The state of Arizona is poised to pass far reaching limits on the activities of public unions. Based on legislation passed in Wisconsin, union members feel the legislation would kill an already weak union system in Arizona.
Speakers and attendees spoke out against the shadowy organization ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council) and the Goldwater Institute that bring legislators and captains of industry behind closed doors to write legislation with a conservative agenda.
