The Ethiopian pavilion at the Mosaic festival - Regina

One of the pioneer participants of the Mosaic festivals is the Ethiopian community, a small but resilient community of dedicated volunteers who mange to organize a very entertaining three day festival that shows off the rich cultures of Ethiopia.

Mosaic 2011 was a great success with endless entertainment featuring a group of young performers who have practiced for months ahead of the event to showcase their talent. There colorful costumes, choreographed moves, and the unique and upbeat style of dancing made the event memorable to their audience.

Aside from the music and dancing of the many ethnic groups of Ethiopia, there were many other performances from the many regions of Africa, as well as art and craft sales, delicious spicy food, and traditional drinks including the famous Ethiopian mead, Tej.
