Afghans continue protest over Quran burning for second day - Kabul

KABUL (PAN): Hundreds of people staged a protest for the second day in Kabul against the burning of the Holy Quran by US troops at the Bagram Airbase, when one of the protesters shot injured by foreign troops during the Wednesday’s protest.
The demonstrators blocked Kabul-Jalalabad highway for traffic and they were on the march to Kabul city. They threw stones at a military camp of Phoenix on the outskirts of Kabul, called for the immediate withdrawal of foreign troops from the country and punishment for the criminals.
Pajhwok reporter witnessed that the angry protesters destroyed a station of traffic police, while foreign troops opened fire on the rally, injuring a 25-years old demonstrator.
