A Festival of Russian Culture is taking place in Dublin to celebrate the end of Winter and the beginning of Spring. The celebration is an important festival in Russia and is linked to the Orthodox feast day of Maslenitsa (Pancake Day).
This year Dublin is strengthening its "links with Russia by celebrating the coming of Spring, through the Russian Cultural Festival". The Festival involves various music events and also includes a photographic exhibition in the Civic Offices in Wood Quay.
The festival runs until February 26th
