Coca-Cola HBC Greek workers demonstrate against factory's closure
Workers in Patras demonstrate against plans to shut down their factory and elimination of their jobs. Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company, a member of Coca-Cola Hellenic, plans to shut down the factory's bottling line in Patras.
Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company, which is part of the Coca-Cola Hellenic Group, one of the largest bottlers of The Coca-Cola Company’s products in the world and the biggest in Europe, plans to shut down the company's bottling line in Patras and Thessaloniki, decision which is mainly aimed at reducing operating costs. The production volume, of the factories which will close, is going to move to other ones in Greece
The workers who are going to be fired demonstrated against the company's plans. Along with the company's workers at the demonstration participated Coca Cola's Employees Association of Patras, Patras residents, PAME (All Workers Militant Front).
