National Tibet Uprising Day, March 10th 1959, was marked today by approximately 200-300 people in Portland, Oregon. Members of the Portland-Vancouver Tibetan community and their supporters demonstrated against what they assert is China’s occupation of the Tibetan plateau, and passed out information at City Hall, followed by a march in downtown Portland.
