Students marched in Madrid as part of a nationwide series of demonstrations protesting over education cuts that have caused teachers to be laid off and campuses to become overcrowded.
Student protestors marched through the streets of Madrid today,in anger over crisis spending cuts and police violence against protesters. "They are making cuts in public education, they are giving us no option to work, and on top of this, when we protest democratically, they beat us with complete impunity", said a student.
In Madrid students whistled and chanted slogans such as "Fewer cuts, more education!"
