Workers of Mascot Group garment factory blocked the capital's Mohakhali-Gulshan road for nearly one hour to demand compensation due to relocation of their factory.

Workers of Mascot Group began their demonstration around 10:30am. It obstructed traffic on Mohakhali-Gulshan road.

The garment authority has been asked to pay the workers three months of salary and perquisites in an FBCCI-mediated negotiation as compensation for the relocation of factory, but the workers demanded more.

The workers began the demonstration on Monday morning following a heated argument with the authorities.
