"Soul Surfer", Bethany Hamilton appeared this weekend at New Song Community Church in Oceanside, to share her amazing story of tragedy to triumph about the shark attack that left her with only one arm.

When Bethany Hamilton was just 13 years old she was attacked by a 14 foot tiger shark while surfing off of Kauai's North Shore. As a result of the attack she lost her left arm.

Not to be discouraged, as soon as humanly possible, she was back on her surfboard and going after her dream to be a professional surfer.

Today Bethany lives that dream and remains at the top of her class in surfing. She uses her story to inspire others and to share Christianity with others.

New Song Church was lucky to be included in her event tour as she shared her story with more than two thousand in four separate main events, and several other smaller groups.

In the main event she shared her story with Hal Seed, head pastor at New Song and author of several books including "The God Questions"
