Scores of men, women & children gathered in London's Trafalgar Square to participate in International Pillow Fight Day.

Scores of men, women and children gather in London's Trafalgar Square to participate in International Pillow Fight Day on Saturday April 7, 2012. The global event is part of the Urban Playground Movement which aims to involve people worldwide in free, fun, non-commercial public events.

According to the Urban Playground Movement, "one of our goals is to make these unique happenings in public space become a significant part of popular culture, partially replacing passive, non-social consumption experiences like watching television, and consciously celebrating public spaces in our cities as our “urban living rooms.” The result, we hope, will be a global community of participants in a world where people are constantly organizing and attending these happenings in every major city in the world.

This project, Pillow Fight Day 2012, is a collaboration of many people who comprise a loose, decentralized network of urban playground event organizers all over the world."
