Heavy Police presence in Barcelona for May Day demonstrations
Following the general strike riots on March 29 earlier this year and the meeting of the European Central Bank in Barcelona, the Catalan police deploys a significant number of forces on the street to contain the May Day demonstration.
After the strong incident of the general strike of March 29 and only a few days of the conclusion of the meeting of the European Central Bank in Barcelona, the Catalan police has deployed a tight grip around the may day demonstration.
Hundreds of police, riot police and camouflaged at all times have followed the demonstration, no incidents have occurred but with 4 youths arrested.
The anti-capitalist demonstration has concentrated nearly 20,000 people, according to organizers (5,000 according the police).
The demonstration have finished with the Occupy Oakland's member, Jack Heyman, talking to the Barcelona's demonstrators
