Local police have called in the FBI to investigate a home where J.T. Ready, founder of a volunteer armed border guard group is thought to have killed three adults and one child before turning the gun on himself.
J.T. Ready, a self-proclaimed neo-Nazi and border militia member, is thought to have opened fire on the occupants of the house midday on Wednesday. The shooting occurred in a home in Gilbert, Arizona a quiet suburb of Phoenix.
Ready was well known in the larger Phoenix metro area as a "Minute Man" strong border advocate who regularly ran patrols through the desert to intercept undocumented immigrants and drug smugglers. Ready was also linked with some prominent Arizona politicians.
After discovering the dead individuals inside the home, and a survivor at a neighbor's home, officers began to uncover a treasure trove of weaponry. The six military grade grenades were thought to have belonged to Ready and are said to be used against light armored military vehicles and human combatants.
Law officers believe Ready turned the gun on himself after murdering the others in the house.
