Approximately 1,500 Jewish pilgrims are expected to take the annual pilgrimage to the El Ghriba Synagouge, a religioius rite that annually brings Jewish pilgrims to the island of Djerba in southeastern Tunisia.

Approximately 1,500 Jewish pilgrims were expected to attend the annual pilgrimage to the El Ghriba Synagouge on the island of Djerba in South eastern Tunisia today. The National Security council of Israel issued a warning last week against its nationals traveling to Djerba due to concerns that Jewish pilgrims could be targeted by the growing salafist movement in the country as a result very few foreign Jews did the pilgrimage approximately 300 pilgrims did the pilgrimage to El Ghriba Synagogue as a result.
