Smoke from a fire at a construction site results in a large cloud of dark smoke over Vienna, visible from several kilometers aways.
Due to a fire at the construction site of the new campus of the "Vienna University of Economics and Business" a large cloud of smoke covered the sky over Vienna. The fire started at about 5 PM and was extincted by about 70 fire fighters within one hour. Some materials containing polystyrene were responsible for the intense smoke.
One construction worker was taken to a hospital because of an exhaust gas poisoning. No other persons were harmed.
