Snow in May, Shar mountains, Kosovo. The Sar mountains or Shar, is a mountain range in the Balkans that extends from southern Kosovo[a] and the northwest of the Republic of Macedonia to northeastern Albania.

In the south of Kosovo, the Shar mountains graced the pages of the morning with snow. The temperature at night dropped to zero. Snow on the mountain is ten centimeters, while in the villages of five centimeters.
Low temperatures and snow caused extensive damage to crops, and farmers will suffer significant losses.
A sudden colder weather followed the warm waves and extremely high temperatures. On Saturday the temperature in Prizren was 30 degrees.
The cold wave, which is on Sunday morning brought rain and plummeting temperatures caused numerous health problems in the population.
