Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti protest against big dam construction
Members of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS), the primary organisation in northeast India, holds a torch light rally in Guwahati city, the capital of Assam in northeastern India as a mark of protest against big dam construction.
Akhil Gogoi, general secretary of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) and known RTI activist and social worker on northeast India staging an indefinite hunger strike against Big Dam construction ny NHPC in Assam -Arunachal border in Guwahati for the last three days. Today, his (Akhil) health deteriorated and the supporters and the activists of KMSS with support from other social groups taken out a torch light rally through the streets of Guwahati, the capital city of northeastern state of India,Assam to aware the people and government to stop the big dam construction in north east India on Monday,21st May 2012.
