Nearly 10,000 runners took part in the BUPA London 10k the race which was run on a very hot day over the Olympic marathon course.

The BUPA London 10k was held in London today. On what was a very hot day for running Mo Farah (GB) won the race in 29 minutes 21 seconds after a sprint finish with Japanese Olympic marathon runner Arata Fujiwara (29:24). Mara Yamauchi also of Great Britain won the women's race in 29 minutes 52 seconds ahead of Welsh runner Caryl Mair Jones(33:07).
