Despite being an atomic power Pakistan has become masailistan: Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui
What is the use of such an atom bomb when we cannot hold our heads up high?
14 years ago we took a stand and gained respect, I appeal to the Nation to unify its voice for Aafia’s freedom.
Karachi ( ) Pride of Pakistan Dr. Aafia Siddiqui’s sister while addressing a gathering at the Karachi press club said on 28th May 1998, Pakistan made history and pushed several sovereignty threats a decade away. Some statesmen, army generals and scientists, intelligence officers took a firm stand to defend our dear motherland. They stood against all odds and faced the horrendous sanctions threatened over them. We became the only Muslim atomic power, and we survived. It was a day when every Pakistani raised his head with pride and joined hands to hail their leadership.
14 years later our heads are subdued and we are disgraced. Why ? why have we succumbed to foreign subservience. Where are the dignified generals, the respected leaders, the bold intelligence agents, the unified people ? Unfortunately the
Pakistan is the only Muslim Atomic power, but unable to defend its own people. Some policy errors, some black sheep gained access and Our general became a dictator and began selling his own people to a foreign master, and we began to loose our dignity, as a result disintegrating as a nation.
As Aafia is locked up in prison, Pakistan has become Masailistan, Aafia wanted to bring genuine change through an educational reform, unfortunately her own forsaked her, just like Mohsin-e-Pakistan Dr Abdul qadeer Khan, was defamed and convicted, for giving Pakistan the honor and security.
Yaume takbeer signifies the greatness of God Almighty and implores us the people of Pakistan, to unite for each other for the release of their sister and citizen, and do what all honorable and dignified Nations do for their citizens and Allies, See America in Raymond Davis, See India in Sharukh Khan, See Iran, Russian in the spy case and the list goes on. I we keep begging for money in return of honor and blood, we will God Forbid perish.
The protest was addressed by Intekhab Alam Suri of Human Rights Network, Dr. Askari of Khaksar tehreek, Shakeel Ahmad of Pasban, Abdul Waheed of Lawyers forum, Chairman of football union, trade union sadder town and members of teachers and youth alliances. All carried Pakistani flags pledged support for Aafia. And the program ended with prayer for solidarity of Pakistan and the return of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, followed by the National Anthem.
