Commemorate six years of disaster and toxic mudflow is done by long march from the village of East Besuki, Jabon, Sidoarjo up to point 25, the center of the mudflow.
Mudflow victims held Ruwatan Lumpur. The purpose of this event in order to demand the compensation issue can be resolved fairly quickly by PT. Lapindo Brantas, the project manager.
The Ruwatan Lumpur processes was preceded by prayer, reading of poetry by children victims of mudflow, sowing flowers, and fly a hot air balloon out of paper.
Citizens demanded that the Government of Indonesia to help the victims of Lapindo to immediately obtain fair compensation. In addition residents also demanded that the mudflow case was quickly resolved legally because it has been considered detrimental to the common people.
Mudflow disaster that occurred on May 28, 2006 night to drown all their property, houses, clothes, to factories around their homes. Most villagers work in a large factory in the village. To this day, socio-economic, environmental, and cultural Lapindo mudflow victims still devastated and can not be restored.
