Shoppers at Arnotts retail store in Dublin city centre are given the chance of a Formula 1 experience as Swiss watch maker Certina brings an F1 simulator to Dublin as part of the Bavaria City Racing Festival in the capital this weekend. Certina is a sponsor of Formula 1 team Sauber.
Glam Prix is a special Formula 1 themed event at Arnotts. As part of Glam Prix there will be beauty themed pit stops at the department store in addition to special F1 themed give aways.
The Certina F1 simulator also gives racing enthusiasts the chance to pit their race times against each other with the fastest lap times earning special prizes such as Certina watches.
Shopper Lukasz Czarnota from Poland came in 9th place on Friday afternoon with a laptime of 48:592. The current top three laptime racers are:
1. Morgan Purcell laptime: 43:958
2. Wojciech Rabsztyn laptime: 44:800
3. David McGrath laptime: 44:859
The Glam Prix racing festival runs in Arnotts Department Store until Bank Holiday Monday and gives shoppers an opportunity to get into the spirit of the Bavaria City Racing experience in Dublin this weekend.
