Buckingham Palace played host to a star-studded concert with a spectacular firework finale, to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. The celebration throughout 2012 marks the 60th anniversary of the accession of the Queen of the UK to the throne.

Buckingham Palace played host to a start studded concert with a spectacular firework finale, to mark The Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

The proceedings were closed by Her Majesty the Queen, lighting the national beacon outside Buckingham Palace, London at 10:45PM

Over 250,000 people attended the concert, which saw revellers fill up the length of The Mall.
