In celebration of the Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee, 4200 Beacons were lit all over the British Commonwealth to coincide when the then Princess Elizabeth succeeds to Queen. The new elected Lord Mayor of Belfast Gavin Robinson along with Nelson McCausland MLA lit the Beacon at 22:28.
Beacon Number No 3290 was organised by the Department for Social Development, the Beacon is located at Millennium Island, Donegall Quay, Belfast, Northern Ireland
