Aafia Movement Research Paper competition 'Build a better Pakistan'

Build a better Pakistan research paper competition is designed to create positive solution oriented thinking.
Dr. Fowzia, Sister of pride of Pakistan, Dr. Aafia Siddiqui while introducing the Aafia Movement Research Paper competition based on the theme “Build a better Pakistan" said it was Aafia's dream to bring a positive change in Pakistan and she had a unique concept of improving the educational system and creating an informed youth with analytical problem solving mindset.
This research competition is based on the concept proposed by Dr. Aafia 10 years ago includes 6 topics, anyone can be selected. The topics are (1) Change through Educational System (2) Overcoming Energy and Water crises (3) Role of Journalism and Media (4) Overhaul of current political system (5) Development through Arid Agriculture (6) Social Justice Reform.
It should be based on innovation and practical applicability in Pakistan. Each Paper should have a solution oriented theme, focusing on how to improve quality of life and bring a positive change to save our disintegrating system and a step forward to self sufficiency.
Education journalists of leading papers were present and answering a question Dr Fowzia said she was hopeful that this competition will help promote positive and constructive thinking and we will come up with some great solutions that can become part of our legislation.
The competition is sponsored by the Aafia movement and first prize is RS 1lac (100,000) and second prize is RS 50,000 and third RS 25,000 with subsequent 12 prizes of RS 10,000 each.
The deadline for paper submission is September 30, 2012. Paper can be submitted by email at thesis@aafiamovement.com or can be posted at plot # E-140, Block 7, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi.
She further said that the judges will include faculty from renowned international universities.
She requested journalists to help publicize this to all the corners of Pakistan so our hidden talent can be spotted and highlighted. She vowed that Aafia’s suffering will not go in vain and together with the youth Pakistan will flourish.
