Irish protestors have used the annual Bloomsday celebrations in Dublin to get their point across against austerity and show their support for the people of Greece who are voting in a national election. Bloomsday is a celebration of the life of Irish writer James Joyce and each Bloomsday the events of his novel Ulysses (set on 16 June 1904) are relived.
The protestors, dressed in Edwardian costumes, interrupted a Greek solidarity rally on Dublin's O'Connell Street to lend their support against austerity and show solidarity with the people of Greece.
