Protest against visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to London
Today, 25th August, in London “Stop the War” and the “Palestine Solidarity Campaign” organised a picket of Downing Street to protest against the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who has come to London to meet Gordon Brown. The meeting started peacefully but scuffles soon developed as protestors attempted to block the gates to Downing Street and police officers endeavoured to keep them back. There were at least three arrests.
