Leaders of different journalist organisations again demanded that the government interrogate Mahfuzur Rahman, chairman of a private television channel ATN Bangla, about his derogatory remarks on the killing of Sagar and Runi.

They made the demand at a human chain formed in front of the National Press Club to protest the murder of journalist Jamal Uddin in Jessore and press the demand for interrogating the ATN Bangla chairman.
Bangladesh Federal Journalist Union (BFUJ) President Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury declared that they will form another human chain on Sunday for reinforcing the demand if Mahfuzur Rahman is not interrogated.
The journalists will march towards the prime minister’s office and submit a memorandum to the prime minister on June 26 demanding the arrest and trials of the killers of all journalists – including Sagar Sarowar and Meherun Runi, he added.
The journalist leaders also demanded Mahfuzur Rahman must show the evidence to prove his allegations against Sagar–Runi and the journalist leaders.
