A vehicle of United Nations came under attack by some unidentified miscreants in the city area of Sohrab Goth. According to police sources, the foreign doctors working on a polio immunisation campaign were injured in the ambush.

KARACHI July 17: A vehicle of United Nations came under attack by some unidentified miscreants in the city area of Sohrab Goth, officials said on Tuesday.According to police, the foreign doctor named Dr. Foston and his local driver were injured in the ambush. The injured were shifted to city private hospital for medical treatment. Deputy Inspector General Police informed the media that UN team was on Super highway near Sorab Goth, a suburb area of Karachi, when it came under attack. He said first miscreants burst tyres of vehicle and then directly opened fire on people onboard.Medical officials of Patel Hospital said that condition of foreign doctor is out of danger.Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali shah condemned the attack and order a full inquiry of the incident.Karachi, the financial hub of the country has been witnessing violence and target killing since many years.
