The Godiva Awakes with 500 drums at Coventry and has arrive at Walthamstow rising Taxman.The artwork powered by 100 cyclists, is on a journey to London to celebrate the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Walthanmstow has put at Spectacular show, nothing like this in London before and the whole three miles streets is filled with people's. Cheering and clapping hand. Some waving with the Union Jack Flag. The whole Walthamstow Town Hall , is full of people's just to get a look at the Godiva Awakes and Spectacular show, colorful Carnival, participle come as far as Birmingham some very close to Wales.
Godiva Awakes is a £2.8 million Cultural Olympiad project funded mainly by the Arts Council of England and Coventry City Council.
The project involves a journey taking Godiva from Coventry City to Walthamstow Town Hall for the finale and handing over of the “book of intent” containing the wishes and commitments of young people to protecting the Environment.
Welcoming Godiva to Waltham Forest
The Leader of the Council, Chris Robbins will receive the book of intent when it reaches the Town Hall.
There will be 220 costumed performers and a chance for residents to join in the procession en route to the Town Hall.
