Artists gathered outside the consular division of the Russian Fedearation to protest against the trial of 3 members of the punk band Pussy Riot. The protesters claim this is like a show trial of the Stalin era.

This protest is against what they call the show trial of 3 members of the punk band pussy riot. They are on trial for singing a punk protest against Vladamir Putin in a russian orthodox church.
Maria Alyokhina, 24, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, 22, and Yekaterina Samutsevich, 29, could face up to three years in jail for storming the altar of Christ the Saviour Cathedral on Feb. 21 and belting out a “punk prayer” calling on the Virgin Mary to rid Russia of Putin, who has been in power since 2000.
